4th Echo - Marisa has regained her past life's skill at dodging. Any situation that involves plotting a safe path through a huge number of moving objects will be one she feels prepared to handle.
6th Echo - Marisa has regained a portion of her magical power. She registers as a magical entity to anyone who can detect such things, and sharp emotional outbursts can cause unusual reactions.
13th Echo - Marisa has regained everything necessary to use her ultimate attack, the giant laser known as "Love Sign: Master Spark"
14th Echo - Marisa is mastering Japanese at an alarmingly high speed, considering her source is high school level language classes.

1st Echo - Marisa remembers living in her house in the Forest of Magic, which is an almost exact mirror of her house in Locke City
2nd Echo - Marisa remembers having once barged into the library at the Scarlet Devil Mansion, making loud obnoxious conversation with the residents within, grabbing a spellbook or two, and then dashing off before they could figure out what was going on. She doesn't know what anyone in the memory said, because it was all in Japanese, which she currently barely speaks.
3rd Echo - Marisa remembers being a powerful magician battling a powerful vampire in an epic duel of magic (End boss to Embodiment of Scarlet Devil).
7th Echo - Marisa remembered attending a party at some kind of shinto shrine. Her memories are hazy, as she was drunk at the time, but she can remember some of the attendees, and would be able to recognize them if they passed her on the street, though she wouldn't know anything beyond their names: Reimu Hakurei, Alice Margatroid, Yuyuko Saigyouji, Youmu Kompaku, and Cirno the Ice Fairy.
10th Echo - Marisa remembered chasing after a giant flying sailing ship on her broom (Undentified Fantastic Object)
11th Echo - Marisa remembered battling Mamizou Futasuiwa with magic, a Tanuki that bears uncanny resemblence to her cousin, Sara Kirisame.
12th Echo - Marisa remembered battling Reimu Hakurei with magic during the events of Imperishable Night. She won.
17th Echo - Marisa remembers the mystic realm of Gensokyo: A pocket dimension that was a safe place for magical creatures who had been forgotten by the modern world.
18th Echo - Marisa remembers her duel with Momiji Inubashiri and Aya Shameimaru, along with a few punk fairies.
19th Echo - Marisa remembers Suika Ibuki turning giant trying to step on her with the spell card "Oni God: Missing Purple Flower."
20th Echo - Marisa remembers encountering Cirno the Strongest Fairy at Misty Lake and thinking she was a little weirdo.

5th Echo - Marisa has regained the Mini-Hakkero: A powerful magic fueled furnace capable of producing enough power to theoretically level mountains. Of course, even at full power she was never good enough to do that, and currently she lacks the knowledge to use it at all.
8th Echo - Marisa has regained her broom. It has a handle made of bamboo, and is enchanted so that it will respond to her mental commands. It can't lift a person into the air on it's own, but it can help a person who already knows how to fly fly better.
9th Echo - Marisa has regained all of her notes on magic. They are a disorganized mess and written in a language she doesn't speak in this life, and are of limited use. Also: More of her innate magic potential.
21st Echo - Marisa regained a collection of magical mushrooms that were common in the Forest of Magic where she lived.

Notes: Anyone who can detect magical power can tell that Marisa has significantly more than a normal person.

I actually had nothing concrete in mind. But since you bring it up, how about having something creeping through the shadows, ratcheting the suspense up to eleven, only to have it be a perfectly normal rat or something?

A cat or raven would be the most thematic for the echo Marisa got/is getting out of this, but neither of those make a huge amount of sense for deep in a mineshaft. Rats or bats seem most likely.

Yeah, I agree re: rats! ALSO SORRY FOR HITTING YOU ON THIS POST, lacking an hmd/contact I chose the post that looked the most relevant, you can totz delete these (for some reason "PM SOMEONE" never occurs to me until AFTER I comment somewhere). Also this is going to the top of my to-do list, but may not happen until I get home tomorrow since I'm still @ my 'rents place for dad's bday. :o
